Facts about Goshi

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
DOB April 10, 2002.

Goshi is a tiny, loving and sweet girl. She is a little shy at first but she becomes very affectionate after a little while. She loves to be patted and to receive your attention, but she does not enjoy being picked up and carried around the home. She is an indoor cat who loves to lie in the sun rays that come in through the windows. She loves to talk so you can really enjoy good conversations with her - she will even request some of her treats. She used to live in a house with another cat, a dog and little kids, but has, since she was adopted over two years ago, been the only pet in the house. A quiet environment would be best suited for this sweet, sweet kitty.

Goshi is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service.

Toronto Cat Rescue is a registered, no-kill charity run by volunteers.

Our registered charity number: 889-198-727-RR-0001

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

2. Our adoption fee for a bonded pair is $100 per cat, vs. $175 per cat.
