FERN is a fun wire-coated girl about 4 years old (birthdate estimated to be May 2012), weighing in at 10 lbs. She has the short legs and long body of a Doxie and the wire low-shed coat fun-loving energy level of a terrier! She loves going on walks and hikes and playing for hours with her little dog friends. She is great with small playful dogs and would be happiest in a home with another dog, but can be intimidated by bigger dogs, so a slow, proper introduction is necessary. Fern can be unsure of new places and people, but she does warm up quickly with patience and yummy treats. Once Fern is settled in, she turns into the most playful girl ever. Once you earn her trust, she is the most loving, affectionate, loyal girl who enjoys spending time on your lap and showering you with kisses.
