Ginger's Story...
Ginger is a one year old female Border Collie mix. She is 45 pounds. She is friendly, fluffy and a very happy-go-lucky girl. She loves being around people of all ages and with her sunny, playful disposition, she'd be a wonderful dog for children to grow up with. Ginger is also great with other dogs and would be delighted to be in a home with another dog. Since coming to us, she's learned her leash-manners and is a wonderful walking buddy. Ginger has always been an outside dog, but with a little training, she'd quickly get the hang of being an inside companion. (TIA)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Plainfield Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
