Tex's Story...
Good ol' Tex was found running wild on the countryside, covered in ticks and smelling like a skunk. Although the smell didn't seem to bother him, our first order of business was a nice, warm bath and healthy dose of Frontline. Once that was out of the way we started to see what a great, young dog Tex really is. Although he seems to enjoy his freedom, Tex is very alert, intelligent, and is sure to train quickly. He's plays well with other dogs, but also likes to be the head honcho, so all introductions should be handled care. Unfortunately, cats are probably a no-no without a lot of work and patience. Tex is small for a lab mix, but shows all the other traits we've come to love and expect from the country's most popular breed. Looking for an active and loyal young companion? Look no further than Tex!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tex, a Larned Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Larned, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Larned.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Larned already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Larned breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Larned paves the way for another one to be saved.
