Wilfred's Story...
Wilfred 4 year old lab hound mix. Wilfred is a COURTESY LISTING. Please contact the owner directly, Alan Taylor at Locke Taylors Vet 804-262-8629 if you are interested. Wilfred was a stray who found his way to rescue at Locke Taylors vet. He has done well with the other dogs and cats around the office. Everyone loves him! He is easy going and quiet for a hound! He is good inside the kennel which transfer easily to house skills. Since he was starving when he first came to rescue he does tend to guard his food so a home without small children is best. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilfred, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
