My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If Hollywood decides to make a movie that needs an exceptionally adorable and devoted girl with the most gorgeous, silky-soft coat... Hallie would be a shoe-in for the lead. And for good measure, she's a very loving girl who has made every effort to leave her experience on death row in a scary shelter behind. While initially a bit shy, Hallie wants nothing more than to be loved and to do a good job. At 1.5 - 2 years old and about 12 lbs, Hallie greets her foster mom with a shower of kisses and hugs...she has bonded with her and truly loves the people that are kind and giving to her. Hallie is overjoyed with a scratch behind the ears and maybe even a belly rub. And then it's time to do what Hallie loves best...to sit so quietly in her favorite people's laps...to lie her head against their chest - This is heaven! We feel that Hallie would be very happy to be the only dog in an adult family...or a gentle, like-sized dog would be fine too. It's not that she doesn't like other dogs...she does great with them but saves her true love and devotion for her people. She would fit perfectly into the home of retirees who want the pure love and loyalty of this quiet, well- behaved girl. Hallie has been described as a non-vocal girl (that could change a bit when she's comfortable), very respectful of the home and can warm a lap like none other. She really loves lying upside down on her back across your lap..belly rub nirvana! Hallie also enjoy her walks...but she's really not in a hurry. She's so happy to just enjoy her human's company and the warm sunshine. Hallie doesn't demand tons of exercise (although it's so important for any dog)...just being together and socializing along the way is good enough for her. She's also a very portable pup at just 12 lbs..and good in the car...while still learning.
Hallie would be a dream come true best friend for active adults who enjoy the company of an extremely loyal and sweet companion. Hallie is so smart and attentive to her loved ones that we feel she would shine at obedience class...her natural intelligence and desire to please would shoot her to the top of the class! We would like Hallie to be placed in a home that has the ability and enthusiasm to spend lots of time with her. Her wonderful temperament has earned her this involved home and a very devoted family who has time and love to give. Hallie appears to be a lightly-shedding dog but with periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition.. her coat will become cottony-soft, healthy and less likely to shed.

Hallie will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 4/24/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
