Tommy's Story...
Tommy is a 1.5-2 year old Terrier/Shih Tzu mix.
White-and-tan medium wiry coat, long fluffy tail, adorable face with short floppy ears

His right eye had been injured (by another dog who attacked him over food). He had surgery on April 7th to have the eye removed, and he is doing great. The first pictures are after his surgery. The last one was before.

He has been in a foster home with a toddler an older child. They also have a cat and dog, and he has been fabulous with all of them!

He is a cuddle bug and loves to snuggle. He also enjoys playing with his toys. He is a wonderful little man who deserves a special home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, a Orland Park Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Orland Park, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Orland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
