My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nicest. Guy. Ever.

MVP Topper came from an overcrowded shelter after being surrendered by his owner's family after she passed away. Poor Topper was quite confused. We were able to pull him and get him to our vet, where they removed a 5lb fatty tumor from his belly that must have been quite uncomfortable and there for awhile. Now that the non-cancerous tumor is gone and he received a teeth cleaning, he has a clean bill of health! Around 7 years old, he is still a little overweight (about 5-8lbs. We gave him a much needed bath and groom and he feels like a brand new man (though we think he is cute with his scruffy face).

Did we mention Topper is the nicest guy ever? He is being fostered with large dogs and small dogs and preschoolers and does great! He rides very well in the car and simply wants to follow his people from room to room to lay at their feet. He would love a walk around the block every once in awhile, but he is very mellow. He is also housetrained, knows his commands and was left free in the home while his previous owner was out of the house with no problem. He also lived with a several cats in his previous home.

This is a special boy and we are very glad he gets his second chance.

Topper's adoption fee is $200. All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule. All inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 except on a case by case basis.
