PRINCESS SOPHIE's Story...
I am Princess Sophie and I am a wonderful Rat Terrier mix girl who weighs 13 pounds and is about 2-3 years old. I am so happy and everyone loves the way I prance around like a princess. I walk well on a leash and I get along with other dogs. How I ended up in the shelter is anybody's guess. All I want is a loving family to take me for walks, let me sit on their lap and let me snuggle with them. I would do best in a quieter home with older children. I am so excited just thinking about a forever family, that I get all smiley! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PRINCESS SOPHIE, a Salem Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
