Liza's Story...
Have you ever wanted one of the sweetest, most friendly, most playful dogs ever to find her way into a shelter? Well, here she is. Liza is a female Labrador retriever - themselves the most popular breed of dogs in the US - born about 4/2013. Brought to us in a fairly neglected state, Liza has demonstrated the absolute beauty of the lab personality. She loves people of all ages (one of our volunteers commented as she was rubbing Liza's ears that Liza would love that to go on for hours), she does OK with cats, she appears to be housebroken, and she seems to get along great with all other dogs. She does NOT get along with, in fact she will kill, chickens; so if you have a farm or raise domesticated chickens Liza is not for you. She also has the talent for jumping over fences. She must have a yard with a 6 foot fence. For EVERYONE ELSE, however, Liza will be a fabulous pet and a wonderful addition to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Liza, a Parkville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
