Garbo's Story...
Garbo, a female Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix, lives up to her namesake in looks, but she DOES NOT want to be left alone! Born about 12/2012, Garbo loves nothing more than to be petted and played with and to be with her people. This is a girl who wants attention and loves people of all ages. Garbo is an active dog who plays with virtually any other dog, but she could easily be too much for a small or older dog. Garbo bonds quickly to both people and other dogs. She would be a good addition to any active family or owner who wants a running or hiking companion, or just a best friend. This girl is one of those dogs who wears her heart on her sleeve; she'll melt your heart the minute she jumps into your lap and looks up at you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garbo, a Parkville Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
