Winter's Story...
Winter, a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle dog) is so sweet, words are inadequate to describe him. Born about 2/2012 (at the earliest!) is is fully grown at 30 pounds. Winter wants nothing more than to curl up in someone's lap - and he's a great kisser as well. Winter isn't happy when he's left alone, and he vocalizes that feeling, so an apartment may not be the best home for him. But he does quiet down and then does fine. So far that's the only drawback we have seen in his behavior, every volunteer who has met him can't help but say 'He is just so sweet!'. Winter appears to be housebroken. See, he's just perfect!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winter, a Parkville Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
