Leo's Story...
Leo is a playful young (estimated DOB of Feb or March 2012) male Husky Shepherd mix. He is very fun-loving and adventurous, plus he has exceptionally attractive feet - please note his 4 'socks'. As you might expect since he was a stray, he needs some help with leash walking skills, but he is intelligent and eager to do whatever will earn him praise and hugs. He seems to like female dogs after a proper introduction but he is more leery of males (dogs, not humans). He appears to be housebroken. Leo needs plenty of exercise or vigorous play every day, so an active family or a jogger would be best for him. Huskies love to roam if given the opportunity, so a good fence or only leash exercise is a must.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Parkville Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
