Penelope (Penny)'s Story...
Meet Penelope! She goes by Penny for short and she is absolutely adorable! This tawny-golden tabby loves food, play, and cuddling. She is very, very friendly and gets along well with other cats. She loves to run up and down her foster mom's hallway and is very athletic. She also loves being held and having her chin and cheeks scratched. And Penny is as beautiful as she is friendly! She has exotic 'Lyger' markings and big, green eyes. You can view many more photos of her here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2095919&id=1405524087&l=6342847d31 (P.S. You do not need a Facebook account to view the photo album.) This little girl was born around July 20th and is now available for adoption! You can email her foster mom for more information at: adoption.team@hotmail.com or come to meet her at Adoption Day, every Saturday at the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter from 11 to 3pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope (Penny), a Parkville Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
