Kristen's Story...
Kristen is an absolutely great cat! She's sweet and affectionate and her hair feels like silk. Kristen was dumped in a crate over one weekend at a local business and was not found until Monday morning. She is missing one eye and has a cataract in the other. But that certainly doesn't stop her! Kristen is very active for her age and she really deserves to live out her life in comfort in a loving and safe home. Did you know that FOPAS offers a mature adult program? If you are over the age of 60 and adopt a cat over the age of 5, the adoption fee is half price.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kristen, a Parkville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Parkville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Parkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Parkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Parkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Parkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
