My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This big, beautiful boy is Bear, a 2 year old rottweiler that is dreaming of a happy home of his own. Bear had a home, but it seems it wasn't a great one. He was turned in by his owner when the landlord would no longer allow pets, but since Bear was only used for breeding, he didn't seem to be considered a pet anyway. He was transferred to us at Popcorn Park and we're thankful that he is no longer living in the less than desirable conditions that he came from. We discovered that Bear is heartworm positive. We have begun his treatment and expect him to make a full recovery. He will be on strict exercise restriction until August, when his treatment is complete. If he were to go home during his treatment, he must go to a home without very active dogs or young children, so that he can remain calm. Bear does not let any of this get him down and is one of the most bubbly, friendly, silly guys you will ever meet. He is an extra large pup but when you pet him and show him some affection, he melts into a puddle of puppy-ness! He is known for flopping on his back so you can give him a belly rub, and is a big leaner too. Bear is very well behaved and gets along fine with most dogs. He absolutely adores people and is eager to meet a wonderful family that will treat him with the love and respect that he deserves. File#24480 3/9/15
