I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Wrenn's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Wrenn's Story...
Wrenn is brand spanking new to DREAM and is not quite ready for adoption yet. She still has to finish her vetting. She is HW+ and will be undergoing treatment for that soon. She's a tiny girl weighing under 10 lbs and will be 5 yrs old in July. She's got a great personality & shows affection for everyone.

This is from one of her foster moms....."Dreamers, this is the sweetest dog! Total snuggle-bunny, doesn't meet a stranger, does not bark - customers in and out of my shop all day yesterday and not one yap or growl! Totally housetrained, dainty little eater, beautiful face = PERFECT DOG. If I were looking to adopt from DREAM she would be the one I would want."

If you are interested in adopting Wrenn, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Wrenn 's adoption fee is $500. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Wrenn will go to her new home microchipped, spayed, heartworm tested & treated, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wrenn, a Decatur Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
