This adorable little fluffball is Chester, a 4 year old havanese/lhasa mix that came to us from our Newark facility in need of some help. It seems Chester was hit by a car and sustained several injuries that were left untreated, including a broken pelvis. He was taken straight to our veterinarian who took x-rays and thoroughly examined him. He was then seen by an orthopedic specialist who determined that surgery was not needed, and that bed rest may help to heal the break. We are happy to report that after two months, Chester is now just about healed! He is doing fantastic, thanks to his medical department friends who cared for him during this time, and will just need some exercise restriction for a few more weeks. Chester is an absolute love that bonds quickly with people. He tends to get a little protective of those that he is close to, so Chester will need a home with no children. A quiet, commotion-free home would suit him best, and he would make a wonderful little lap companion. Chester loves cats and seems fine with most dogs his size. He is well behaved, loving, and just an absolute sweetheart that is so deserving of a wonderful home where he will be cared for and spoiled for the rest of his life. File#24431 2/24/15
