Meet Luna! Luna has had a most tortured past. When we found her at the kill shelter, she was scared, and had heartworms. She also has scars all the way around her neck from an embedded collar. In spite of it all, Luna learned to love and trust quickly. Luna is about 2-3 years old and 30 pounds. We think this petite pooch is a Basenji mix but she could be anything. She is sweet, calm and loving. She is fostered with kids and other dogs and is super mellow with a low key energy. She would be happy being a couch potato or going on walks, but is not an athlete. This laid-back girl deserves the fluffiest couch and the family with the most love - she is a total sweetheart and we hope you will consider giving her the life she deserves!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for our Triple Header event weekend! First, CPR will be with North Shore Animal League at Petland in Southbury, CT Friday, July 10th from 2pm-6pm. On Saturday, July 11th CPR will be at Petco in Southington, CT from 10am-2pm. Lastly, on Sunday, July 12th CPR will be at Petsmart in Meriden, CT from 10am-2pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from Sunday's event. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. Come meet our pups and find your forever friend!
This puppy is spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
For non-MA adopters, the adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $75 fee will be added for puppies picked up from our Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. MA residents are no longer allowed to adopt from our adoption center or our adoption events due to MA regs. All MA adoptions must be finalized prior to the puppy leaving our care in TN.
