Goonie's Story...
Goonie is a gorgeous tuxedo kitty boy. Goonie loves people, he’ll rub himself against you again and again, wanting tons of attention. He likes to have his cheeks and chin scratched, once his purr gets started it won’t stop! When he sees something new, Gonnie will make a cute little chirping noise to show how excited he is. Goonie will let you pick him up and hold him briefly, but he has important kitty things to go do.

He gets along with other cats with proper introduction. Goonie has already gotten his microchip, which can be updated with his family’s information so that if he ever were to accidentally escape and lose his collar, a shelter or vet would be able to find his family and make sure he is safely returned home. Goonie is one great guy, let him show you what a wonderful companion he is!

Goonie was born in March 2012. He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia and is up to date on all his shots. Goonie has also been micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goonie, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
