Guernsey is a black domestic short hair, born September 28, 2007. Guernsey has a slightly cropped ear.

Mayzee was found in an abandoned barn as a mother who had just given birth to two kittens. She was likely dumped at the barn by an uncaring owner who let her outside but did not spay her. Mayzee and her two female kittens Jersey and Guernsey came to Kitty Corner to come in from the cold to look for a warm family life.

Mayzee has been adopted, but her two daughters are still waiting for their forever families.

Both the daughters are shy around people, but have great potential to bloom with 1-on-1 attention and love. Guernsey is the shier of the two sisters. She doesn't run from people, but she won't usually approach them either. She often waits to see how other cats, including her sister, interact with the people.

Guernsey gets along great with other cats. She enjoys their company and is very friendly and playful. Guernsey would like to have at least one other cat in her family to snuggle and play with.

Though Guernsey and her sister Jersey are close and it would be nice to see them adopted together - however, they do not need to be adopted together.

Guernsey has never had a family, and would love to have one to call her own. Can you show this lovely young girl what it's like to be loved? Please, call now to come and meet her.
Call Kitty Corner at 315-457-4420 or fill out our adoption application at www.kittycorner.org to meet our adoptable cats and adopt a new member of your family.

Guernsey tests negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and all shots are up to date.

Kitty Corner has a lifetime return policy. If you adopt a cat or kitten from us and you can't keep it for any reason, we ask that you return it to us. We want to be sure that none of our cats is ever homeless again.

Thank you for looking at our cats!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
At Kitty Corner, we are NOT a shelter. We are "cat rescuers" -- volunteers who live with the rescued cats in our own homes. We provide shelter, veterinary care and a chance for a new life in a loving home for cats who have been abandoned or who never had a home at all due to the overwhelming number of homeless pets.
We are all volunteers and 100% of every donation is used for the care of the cats.

When a cat first comes to us, they are briefly caged and isolated until they see our vet. They are checked for parasites and diseases. We provide vaccinations and any other veterinary care they may need. We also spay or neuter any cat who is old enough.
The healthy, altered cats are then evaluated for personality and placed in one of our four "cat rooms". When necessary, we work to overcome behavior or emotional problems so that the cat will be a happy, adoptable pet.

We try to match each cat with the person or family for whom it is best suited. The happiness of the cat and its new "people" is our first priority. In the last few years, we have taken in hundreds of cats and placed almost all of them in caring, responsible homes.

Kitty Corner is firmly committed to the idea that once a cat comes to us, it will never be homeless again. We have a life-long "cat back" guarantee. If an adoption doesn't work out at any time, for any reason, we ask that you to return the cat to us.

Come Meet Our Pets...
If you see a particular pet listed that you might like to meet, please call or e-mail and we'll tell you all about him or her.
If you are just looking to meet our cats available and see if one "clicks" with you, that's fine too!
Once you've completed the adoption application, either online or by phone, we'll invite you to meet our kitties. All of our adoptable cats are housed in the same location, so you will be able to meet everyone in one visit. We are located in Liverpool, NY.
Our Adoption Process...
Whether you have already found a cat or kitten you like in our adoptive listings, or if you just want to come and meet all our cats available for adoption, the first step is the application.

The first step to adopting is the adoption application. Our adoption application can be done over the phone 315-457-4420 or online at our website http://www.kittycorner.org under the "adopt" link; or here's a direct link http://www.kittycorner.org/pages/adoptapp.php

We request an adoption donation for our cats and kittens, which helps us to offset a little of our veterinary costs.
All cats, even the kittens, must be sterilized before going to new homes. We believe strongly in pediatric spay-neuter, a practice that can be used with kittens as young as eight weeks.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Kitty Corner of CNY rescues and adopts our cats to all of Onondaga County, New York State. We will also consider out of the area (including out of state) adoptions on a case-by-case basis.
