Max Factor's Story...
He is 65 handsome lbs. of muscle, stubbornness, intelligence, precious puppy love. At about a year, he is an adult but he still has A LOT of puppy energy. He has unending energy and curiosity, and he wants to run free so badly he can taste it, so a secure fence is very important for him. He is so funny, so smart, so bull headed, and so loving. When he isn’t wanting to go out to find a weak spot in the fence, or trying to find another one of my shoes to claim as his own, he is following my every step, and just wanting my attention. He plays so good with both of his large (sturdy) foster siblings, but unsure how he would be with a small dog, just because of his size and playfulness. He acts like he would give anything to chase the feral cat, the squirrels, and oh so many bunnies, but he pays no attention to the several cats that lounge around the vet’s office when we are there. So inside cats might still be an option if you have them. He rides pretty good, but I have figured out I have to tether him in the back seat, or he will try to drive and the roadway isn’t a place for large lap dogs. Since he gets to be out with the pack while I’m home, I have slowly started feeding him in the same area, just so I could see how it goes. There has never been a cross word during any meal or any snack offerings. He will sit for snacks, but he wants to be very sure he receives his fair share. He is not a fan of getting IN the crate but once there, he is fine. never just walks in. He needs someone that will love him completely, have a strong hand to match his strong will, but never a harsh one, as there is nothing harsh about Max. He needs patience with his puppy ways, and to bring out the intelligence that is seen every day. He is handsome beyond description, but it’s worth repeating. He will be a dog someone will be pleased to say he is part of their family and their life. He appears to be as big as he will get, but he is a solid 65-70 pounds. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. Apply for Max at www.forrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max Factor, a Homewood Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
