My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial Bio 4-23-15. This is one bundle of cuteness. Meet Koda our little 5-month-old shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie Mix). He is 4.7 pounds of adorable sweetness. Koda is being fostered in North Port, FL.

Koda was brought to bring comfort to a woman who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Sadly her cancer had progressed to a point where she could no longer be around any animals, and they had to find Koda a new forever family.

This bundle of energy is all puppy. He is very active and plays rough like most puppies do. He loves to run around and play until he tires himself out. He will stop, sleep for a while, and then he is ready to play some more. His foster parent said he is very sweet, and so far has not barked or shown a mean bone in his little body. He just wants to play and run around the fenced backyard.

Koda loves to be held and cuddled when he is not playing. He is crate trained and does great riding in the car.

Like most puppies he is not yet fully house trained. He is still learning to do his business outside. Koda loves the attention of his people and would do better in a house with no more than one other young dog for him to play with.

Please keep in mind that Koda is a very young dog. He will need someone who can most likely give him a 15-year commitment to be his forever parent.

Because of his small size Koda cannot go to a home with children under the age of 14.
