Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bruce is about 7 1/2 yrs old. Bruce is about 21 pounds, apricot colored with brown eyes. He loves to cuddle and loves lots of affection. He listens well to commands, “go outside” “go kennel” or “go to bed” for going into his kennel. He currently sleeps in his kennel and is very happy to do that. He is not too interested in toys but he like to play with sticks. He is pretty relaxed and will take a ton of naps during the day.
I believe that he would be best suited for a home without any other dogs or children. Some dogs he gets along with fine but others he has trouble, especially if they are brought into his home; he is territorial and also protective. He is sensitive about being picked up because we believe he was abused before we got him. He has had a few incidents when he was picked up too quickly or someone made a movement that was too quick and he nipped at whoever did that. If you pick him up slowly by the belly, not under his arms, and handle him without quick or aggressive movements he is not aggressive at all.
He is protective of his food or his bones… you must be careful when taking a bone away from him! (or just don't give them to him) He does ok traveling in the car but be careful what you leave on the ground, he will eat it!
