My name is Duke!

Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for adoption in Franklin, New Hampshire - Duke

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Duke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Duke's Story...
Duke was surrendered because his owner was unable to take him when she moved. He is a nice boy but is not confident. He is quite friendly when not in his kennel but nervous when in his kennel and approached by strangers. Duke has lived with young children. He would probably do well with cats in the home. He would do best in a quiet home with older children and will need careful integration into his new home until he acclimates and bonds with his new "pack".

Why Adoption is a Great Option

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
