My name is Hope!

American Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dog for adoption in Newport, Michigan - Hope

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Hope's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Hope's Story...
Hope came to The Devoted Barn as a heartworm positive, emaciated stray from the streets of Detroit. Now, shes an energetic, happy pup!

She's sweet as can be with people and kids. She loves to snuggle and follow you around everywhere. She loves to play fetch. Hope knows sit, stay, and come, and responds well to commands. She is very easy to train, as she is very food driven. Hope is crate trained and can stay in the crate all day with no accidents. She is also house trained.

Hope does well with other dogs that she is properly introduced to. She can get a little pushy at times so a proper introduction is a must. Hope is able to jump fences so she must be kept on a tie out even when in a fenced in backyard. She enjoys a good cat chase so she is looking for a home with no cats or a very dog savvy cat.

Hope is looking for an active family, preferably with older children that can give her the exercise that she needs. She would make a fantastic running partner! Do you have room for a new running coach in your family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Newport American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Newport, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
