Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bruiser is a handsome eight-year-old, male black shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Bruiser’s family gave him up to Chicago Animal Care and Control, and Oak Park Animal Care League rescued him from there. He may be middle-aged, but he still loves to play fetch and go for long walks!
He has the typical loyalty, intelligence and protectiveness of a shepherd. He loves to be pet and brushed, is housebroken, walks great on leash and is active but also enjoys his naptime.
Bruiser loves people of all ages, but could make friends with another dog as well. Due to his protectiveness, he is looking for a very special and patient dog-experienced person who will keep him safe from his own impulses.
He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested and micro-chipped. His adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. To meet and possibly adopt Bruiser, please visit the Animal Care League shelter at 1011 Garfield, Oak Park, Illinois, Monday, Thursday & Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m. or Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can also contact the ACL at 708-848-8155, or e-mail Gabrielle at caninemanager@animalcareleague.org
