Rory is a 4 y/o male who was found running along a country road west of Houston. With a chunky 32 pounds on his 15 inch frame, it was obvious that this boy had not missed too many meals! But he was dirty, tired and full of fleas, so a kind lady took him home and tried to find his owners. When nobody showed up for Rory, he came to Houston to find himself a new family to love.

You couldn’t ask for an easier going beagle than Rory. He blended into his foster pack without problems and enjoys joint hunts for varmints lurking in the yard. Rory is mostly quiet on his hunts. He has a small bay for such a big boy, but only uses it when someone is near his yard. Rory has excellent house manners; never having accidents or getting into anything. He is crate trained and often likes to sleep in a crate at night, but has the door open. He knew how to use the dog door without instruction. He knows basic commands, walks well on a leash and is a good car companion. Rory really likes having kids to play with. He shows his hidden puppy when children are playing keep away with the toys!

Rory is a sweet and loving boy. He is very content to be near you when you are working as long as he gets that occasional belly rub! Rory would be fine without a canine companion. He needs a family with lots of love to give and an empty space on the couch!
