Timothy's Story...
Meet Timothy, 10-12 year old 5.7 lbs Shih Tzu, from Los Angeles North Central Shelter. Precious Timothy has an enlarged heart. After leaving the shelter, Timothy was taked to the vet. He was prescribed 3 medications with antibiotics. After the vet Timothy, let us groom him for 2.5 hours. This tiny guy wants to be held and loved. His cough is getting better with the medication. We want to find a great home that can love him until the angels call for him. We are asking for a donation of $100 to cover his medication, but our main concern is finding him a home that will love him so they will not be an adoption donation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timothy, a Encino Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Encino, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
