My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for more light in your life? Hi, I'm Star! I am a friendly, 13 years young pit bull mix whose owner could no longer take care of me. I am on the smaller size for a pittie, about 40 lbs. Well, okay, I may have done some emotional eating-- we've all been there. My foster mom describes me as a brindle meatloaf, but I'm sure she just means I'm a reliable standby!

I am pretty fantastic because I'm already housebroken and I walk nicely on a leash. I love car rides too! I get along great with other dogs, cats(especially dog savvy ones!), and people of all ages. I am sweet and cheerful and in good health for my age. Have I mentioned that I like kids? Especially those who give me cookies. I am very gentle when accepting treats so can hang out with young kids or play with older ones.

Okay, brag time, I am very bright and quite the escape artist. I can climb chain link fences and open the car windows from the inside. (I thought my foster mom needed a little excitement in her day. Just trying to help!) I'm good at escaping from crates too. So my perfect home would have a high fence that isn't chain link, and owners who are good at keeping temptation away.

I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, and microchipped, and I'm so ready for that new home! Maybe it's with you?

The adoption fee is $50.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Star
