My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benjamin [aka BIG JAMMIN’ BEN] — A huge 20 month old male I got fixed and have to wear this plastic thing for now. I need your love......
Big feet, bigger head, enormous active tail that never quits wagging, and a bark that varies from baby-soprano to basso profundo. Typical adolescent: boisterous, clumsy, headstrong, and slow to remember his manners. Nevertheless, he shows potential to be a wonderful pet/companion for a person or family that knows and loves Pyrs.

We do not have a kennel in Lee, MASS. Our dogs are in foster homes. Keep in mind that we are a volunteer organization and encourage serious inquiries only. The beauty of a Great Pyrenees can take your breath away, but they are unique dogs which require dedicated owners who have thoroughly researched the traits of the breed. Feel free to visit our website at www.nepyresq.org for information to start your journey!

Northeast Pyrenees Rescue sponsors dogs from the Northeast including New Jersey for placement in homes in our region.
Great Pyrenees are known for their barking as they were bred to be Livestock Guardians. HOWEVER, a dog not raised around farm animals does not automatically become a Livestock Guardian. They are trained from birth to do that job. If you need a working dog you should contact a reputable breeder for a trained dog. Find breeders at Great Pyrenees Club of America www.gpcaonline.org
