My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Trixie, our unofficial winner of FOTA's "Mother of the Year" award!
This spring, Trixie spent two weeks in the shelter, caring for her 5 tiny puppies, before her soulful looks and gentle manner earned the whole family a place in a FOTA foster home. Trixie was a fantastic caregiver (not to mention, champion milk dispenser), so her fine pups had no trouble growing big enough to leave the nest. And now that Trixie's offspring have all been adopted, and she is a free agent again, this former mom is ready tor some fun and relaxation, in a real, forever home of her own!
Trixie is a 2-3 year-old hound mix, with electric eyes and a naturally short tail. She recently weighed-in at a lean 33 pounds, which means that this gorgeous redhead is the perfect size dog, not too big, and not too small, but just the right size!
Trixie is super-friendly, affectionate, and best of all, she's completely house trained! Trixie is also goofy, fun-loving, and always up for a walk on leash. But this easy-going girl also enjoys being able to kick-back and relax on the sofa, any time, day or night, with her favorite human companions.
Trixie is beautiful and dependable, and you couldn't find a dog more deserving of a second chance at happiness, so why not take a chance on this WONDERFUL pup, right now? You can meet Trixie most days, at the FOTA Adoption House.
For more information, please text Trixie's foster family at (225) 281-4638, or at (225) 892-0344.

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.
