Smidgey (DOB: 10/8/2014) is a petite female black cat with white who is very sweet but very independent. She needs to be adopted out with her brother Braveheart, please see his photo, who is very outgoing.  They are very close & balance each other out. Smidgey likes to hang out all day in a private snuggely spot and then come out evenings and early mornings.  She enjoys petting, but not being picked up. When you are relaxing after dinner she will come out and hang out with you, but is not a lap cat.  She may one day be, but she isn't there yet. If you are looking for a mellow companion paired with an outgoing cat, this is the perfect set.     They are with foster mom Heather 321-255-7203 or

About Helping Overpopulation of Pets End (HOPE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Helping Overpopulation of Pets End (HOPE), is here to educate the public about the problem and put an end to unwanted animals in Brevard County Florida. Too many animals are euthanized in the shelters in Brevard County. Brevard should strive to become a no-kill County, doing all it can to find homes for the animals in need.
We foster animals in order to help abandoned, homeless, and stray animals find permanent and loving homes.
We educate all people on proper pet care.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption events are held at Pet Supermarket stores in Brevard County (West Melbourne, Melbourne, Indian Harbour Beach and Merritt Island) on Saturday afternoons. Please call for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application prior to proceeding with the adoption process. If application is approved then a contract is signed. We take all our animals back for any reason.
