Tyco's Story...
Tyco

This sweet girl is 9 years old, and weighs about 68 pounds. Tyco lived with (and came to the shelter with) a female Lab mix, who has already been adopted. She must meet any resident dog(s) in a potential new home - here at the shelter, she seems tolerant and friendly with every dog she has been introduced to. Though Tyco did not previously live with cats, she seems okay with them, too. Tyco is just an easygoing girl who would love a comfortable couch to lay on and a new place to call home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyco, a Lyons Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Lyons, or seeking a Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Lyons.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lyons already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lyons breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lyons paves the way for another one to be saved.
