My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Cole, at only about 15 weeks old and about 12 lbs (is estimated to be full grown at about 30 lbs), was facing the end of his life before it ever began. Farfel's New Mexico rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this puppy...they rescued Cole just in time. This sweet, engaging and silly Labradoodle/Maltipoo mix is an unusual combo that has resulted in a very desirable smaller Labradoodle with a rounder face and very soft, almost Maltese-type hair. It appears to be yet another try at a designer mix that satisfies even more desires of the dog-buying community. Cole's rescuer had the following to say about this beautiful puppy:
Coal is a labradoodle that is referred to as a "double doodle"(very desirable in the doodle world). His mom is a registered ckc labradoodle and his dad is a maltidoodle (maltipoo). This mix is often great for those who would prefer a non-shedding, hypoallergenic smaller dog with the softest coat I've ever felt!
Coal was born Jan 7,2015. He is an exceptional puppy (so smart and friendly!) He doesn't have an ounce of aggression in his entire body and therefore is great with people and other dogs (untested with cats). He would be wonderful with a family who desires a playful and very engaging dog who is super sweet and can accompany them anywhere due to his great temperament.
Cole is an incredibly beautiful puppy...with truly striking blue-black hair that has the beginnings of the scruffy doodle coat. He is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. He's so smart and very engaging...so typical of a Lab/Poodle mix. He's also so loving...clearly having no memory of his scary start. Since Cole is just a baby, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome companion - he will form firm bonds with his family (as well as other dogs & humans) and learn positive socialization skills through Puppy Socialization Class followed by positive reinforcement group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with appropriate behavior. We're open to
Cole finding his forever home with a very active retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Cole is great with children at his early age and would be an exceptional companion for older kids that be part of a kind yet consistent training regimen.
Cole will be up to date on his vetting. We're hoping that he will also be neutered when he arrives from Texas, however a very young puppy like Cole is often deemed too young to fixed. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for Cole to be neutered/microchipped at our vet in Denver right after his arrival on transport to be in line with our commitment to be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation.

Cole will be arriving on transport in Denver on 5/2. If interested in this exceptional and fun companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
