My story

Age: 10 years
Gender: Female
Color: Black & White
Weight: 36 lbs
Variety: Field

"This is the dog someone wants!" says Grace's foster dad. Gracie, as she is called, is a beautiful girl with silky hair. She is a sweetheart who loves to snuggle. Gracie's best feature is her funny smile. It melts our hearts every time we see it!

Gracie came into rescue after many years of being a mother. At ten years of age, she had a litter that only produced two puppies. Her vet check revealed tumors from repeated breeding. The tumors were removed, dental work was done, and Gracie was spayed. No more puppies for this petite girl!

Gracie is housetrained. She comes when she is called and walks well on a leash. She quickly discovered the joys of sleeping on the sofa. Gracie has made it very clear to her foster family that she wants nothing to do with a crate, but she loves going to the outside kennel with her canine foster brothers.

Her foster mom took Grace to a dog-friendly pet store where she welcomed the attention of the resident cat. While at the vet's office, Gracie tried to mother a four-month-old puppy! She is figuring out that birds and squirrels demand special attention and must be chased. Grace is curious about everything. A recent thunderstorm caused her some anxiety, but it's unlikely that she had ever been out in the rain, let alone experienced thunder.

Her foster family can't say enough good things about this pretty girl. She is one in a million, and she will bring love and joy to her lucky Forever Family.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Grace.
