Hello! My name is Saga. I am a 1 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with probably some lab (I have webbed toes!) and something wire-haired - basically a pittie with this great shaggy hair that I got from who-knows-where. That hair means that I also barely shed at all! I am well behaved and well trained and sweet as can be. I am playful and ready for adventures, but I'm also mellow at home and LOVE sleeping in in the mornings. I do have rather strong feelings about squirrels and occasionally need my space meeting new dogs if I'm stressed. I have lots of super good dog friends though, so I'm likely to live well with dog siblings. I grew up with two cats that I love, but I also get pretty excited about new cats, so I could probably live with cats with some adjustment period. I am house and crate trained, I travel well, and I love meeting new people. I lived with kids as a puppy but not since, and they can make me a little nervous at first, but I've been known to warm up to them - my mom thinks I would adjust to kids and absolutely love them given a chance!
My current mom lives in Davis and would love to continue to be part of my life if that would help you take care of me! She loves walking me and would be available to dog sit for free whenever possible. I also come with a free series of 6 classes from my dog trainer at Laughing Dogs in Davis! My trainer loves me and has known me since I was little and she would love to help a new owner and I get adjusted together.
