Seven-year-old Isabella is a Shih Tzu mix with a beautiful white and buff coat. She is housebroken and will potty outside, or on pads indoors. She has a very sweet temperament and would love to spend her days at your feet or in your lap. She is not much of a barker - but will huff a little if she wants your attention. Isabella has a birth defect that makes one of her front legs bow out, just the slightest bit. But because of that, she has a little age-related arthritis. Due to this arthritis, she doesn’t do well on walks in the neighborhood, and stairs can be a challenge for her. She is on an inexpensive daily medicine for inflammation/pain.

Isabella is scheduled to have a small (tiny - really) growth removed from an eyelid. She will be in the rescue’s care until the veterinarian releases her in June 2015. Izzy will need an adopter who will commit to providing her eye drops for her lifetime. She will do best in a home where she can hang out and lie around. She will be a great fit for anyone who is not very active and wants a sweet companion for their laid-back lifestyle. Older children will appreciate Isabella's attentive personality. Her foster family thinks she is just perfect.
