My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KATIE
Yorkie Mix
Female
Wt: 7 lbs
Age: 2 years
ADOPTION FEE: $ 250

Katie the Yorkie mix (not sure if there's any ST in her) weighs 7#. Katie is spunky and entertaining.
Katie has a new nickname. This happy little girl has earned the title of Kissy Kate. She'll give you a couple of quick smooches in hopes of getting a bellyrub wile she's upside down in your arms.

Katie has begun to play with toys and just enjoy herself. She seems okay with other small dogs but she doesn't interact with them; she just follows and watches them. At 7#, this little girl was kept outside before she came to rescue. Katie must have a securely fenced yard. She enjoys exploring and sniffing and might wander too far. She doesn't like being on a leash. Yes, Katie loves to be outside, but more than that she loves a soft, dry bed! Katie is very affectionate.

When she was rescued, Katie had massive infections in both ears. The ear canals were swollen, inflamed and nearly closed. Her treatment was successful and we don't think there has been any hearing loss. As a precaution, she receives ear drops in both ears every Sunday to prevent another infection from starting. Her ear issues began as yeast infections, so we eliminated grains from her diet. This often helps.

Katie appears to be housetrained. She goes potty outside and also uses pee pads indoors. She's a little bit of a "marker", and if another dog has gone potty in your house and it hasn't been cleaned up, there's a chance she will go potty there as well. She is fed grain-free food and doesn't itch any more.
Someone will love this little girl to bits and she will definitely return that love. She's a cute, prancy little buddy who loves to be cuddled.
