Barney's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please welcome Barney.  He is a 95 lb GSD/Mastiff mix.  Barney is a gentle giant who was surrendered to us because of family issues.

We believe Barney is about 2 1/2 years old who came to Brightstar when he was about 5 months old.  He and his two brothers were found under a porch in North Carolina.   They had been abandoned.

Barney knows his basic obedience and he likes cats.  Barney would do best with another dog.  He is still a little shy and timid around alot of people.  A household with low activity would work really well for him.

Barney is neutered, crate trained and ready for his new forever home.  For more information on Barney please contact  Kathy at k9paris@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Churchville German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff for sale in Churchville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Churchville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Churchville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Churchville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Churchville paves the way for another one to be saved.
