Sammie's Story...
Hi. My name is Sammie and I am a real sweetie pie! I am a blue, male Weim, approximately 7-years-old. I have hit a few bumps in the road of life and have the scars to prove it. Last year a nice person pulled me out of the pokey and for that, I am very grateful. I was so sad and broken in there. He drove me to my wonderful GLWR foster mom who let me know everything was going to be OK.

My foster mom calls me her shadow because I love to follow her everywhere she goes. I do not want to ever end up alone again. I am a true Velcro Weim. My manners are wonderful and I get along with everyone and every animal. I currently live with four other Weims and we are all great friends. I also have three crazy little human foster sister to entertain me and share treats with me. My foster family has outside cats and it is fine by me. They seems kind of snobbish so I just look the other way. I love to lay out in the sunshine and soak in the rays. I also enjoy laying by the bunnies in the cage. They are very entertaining. And no, I would never hurt them.

My past is a bit of a mystery so it is not known how I got all my scars, or even my exact age. But what I do know is that I am a really great dogs with lot of great years ahead of me and lots of love to give to my new family. If you would be interested in meeting with me, I would love to meet you too!!

Love Sammie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammie, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
