Ollie is still being evaluated for his neurological issues. He has been with us for two months and is still being potty trained. With his neuro issues, he circles and sometimes bites at the floor. He is still getting used to being picked up, but when he is tired he will curl up in your lap. He seems to like to be covered with a blanket, including covering his head!
He is quite content hopping around the house.
4/5 Update: Ollie has been with us for almost a year. He has been diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia which in his case, mostly effect his eating. He is placed in a room to eat by himself and it takes about 10 minutes to calm down after his meals. He chews on his blanket in order to help him calm down. He is given gabapentin(a medication for nerve pain) about an hour before he eats and a melatonin supplement with his food as prescribed by our vets. He will take a treat from our hands and does not get agitated when we give him applesauce in his food bowl. He was neutered and microchipped two months ago and did fine with his surgery. He loves to lay on the heater vent or in front of our portable room heater. He can be loving and will cuddle when he is tired. He doesn't seem to have any interest in playing with doggie toys but will engage in playing when you sit on the floor. He will crawl on my lap and hop around. He has made good improvements in all of these areas over the last 6 months.
