Vespa's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Vespa's Story...
Adoption fee on this dog is $300.

Vespa is a 10 - 11 month old female from the Modesto Shelter, so nothing is known of her background.

She is on the smaller side at only 53 lbs. She is sweet and loves to be a house princess. She gets along with the two larger resident dogs in her current foster home. She also does very well with the dog savvy cats in the home. She rides well in the car, sleeps fairly well in a crate, and is potty trained using a dog door. She walks fairly well on a leash but requires some further basic obedience.

She will do best in an active home with older children and another social dog.

This dog is a Level 2. Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our GCGSR Dogs page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels.

For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website at www.gcgsr.org.

Thank you for visiting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vespa, a Sacramento German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
