This sweet honey bear is Jeffrey, who arrived at ARF as a puppy in 2006. Yes, 2006! Unfortunately he's still at the shelter, sharing a pen with his little sister Buddha. Jeffrey is an absolute sweetheart who adores his sister and any people who come to visit. He's very tolerant of Buddha's sneaky sibling slights, such as nibbling on his ankles or using her superior speed to steal his tennis balls. This modest temperament suggests he'd be a tremendous family dog. His activity level rises well above that of most dogs his age, as he loves to run around in the grassy play yard and chase down toys. He hasn't quite learned to walk on a leash yet, and this can be somewhat of a challenge due to his thick-set, 75 lbs. frame. However, given how much he likes spending time with people, we expect him to learn to leash-walk in pretty short order. Jeffrey has a couple other siblings still at ARF, but if he's YOUR pick of the litter, come visit him today!
