Neill Diamond must have been talking about our girl when he wrote the song Sweet Caroline. As sweet as she is beautiful, we still can't believe that we found Caroline in a high kill shelter with burns on her paws and legs. The vets aren't sure if she suffered abuse from someone prior to coming into animal control or if she simply walked through a caustic substance that resulted in her injuries. Whatever the cause, this sweet mixed breed girl (we are thinking Shepherd/Boxer) spent almost a month in the medical ward. Despite her rough beginning, Miss C remains one happy-go-lucky girl. Now completely healed, at approximately 40lbs, Caroline is a big, affectionate puppy who loves everyone she meets -- kids, adults, dogs, cats -- Caroline is a friend to all. While this goofy girl does have playful spurts throughout the day, she's an all around relaxed pup who is happy with a walk or two, a couple hours of pulling the stuffing out of her favorite toys and then wrapping up the day with a family cuddle session on the couch. Caroline is housebroken, crate trained and is mastering walks on a leash and basic obedience. Already an incredible puppy, we know that when she finds her forever family, she is going to turn out to be an amazing dog.
