We have to be honest... we aren't sure what breed this little cutie pie is! Truth be told Pippi is the size of a Beagle, the shape of a Corgi, has the hair coat of a Harbor Seal and the face of a lab mixed with a little something else! We do know this little girl is one pretty awesome dog! Don't be fooled by her funny shape, Pippi is a LITTLE dog. She weighs about 25 pounds and she's a short, stocky little fire-cracker. Pippi has sass and spunk and she's all about PLAY! In the home, Pippi does have good manners and knows when to kick back. She is however, an energetic little gal and her ideal environment will offer lots of space to run and play as well as an active owner that loves to hike/walk/explore. Pippi is currently in several play groups here at the center and though she loves to be social and play with other dogs, interactions with other dogs need to be structured. If you regular dog parks and busy public trails, Pippi says no thank you. She is at her happiest when she can take walks in spacious neighborhoods or explore off leash in open and nature filled places. This adorable girl is a fun-loving, toy chasing, fetching queen and will bring home the balls until the sun goes down. She is extremely affectionate with her people and always game for some fun! She is a snuggler! Love this dog. Age 4 years. 25 lbs.

About Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary (CRCS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping dogs of all breeds and ages recover from trauma such as abuse, neglect, long-term confinement, and other special circumstances. Our primary focus is the rescue, recovery and placement of at-risk dogs. We provide refuge and a second chance for dogs needing at new start by offering a recovery program, thorough screening for best home placement for dog and adopter, and behavior help and support for the life of the dog.

Dogs that come into our care are victims of abuse, domestic violence, dog fighting, and laboratory research. We also take in dogs that have suffered from neglect, hoarding and puppy mill cases and dogs that have endured long term confinement or isolation. We are a support for rescues and shelters, taking in dogs that have been waiting for extended periods to find a home, dogs that have been returned multiple times and dogs that are struggling in the shelter environment due to fear and lack of socialization.

CRCS was founded in 2011 and began as a 100% grassroots organization powered by handful of dedicated volunteers. In November of 2013, we moved into our own facility. With 11,200 sq ft of indoor space and over 5 acres of outdoor space, we are currently working on a capitol campaign to purchase the property and transform every inch into a beautiful campus specifically geared towards recovery for our canine friends.
