Holly's Story...
Holly came to us one very cold snowy night in Feb. We heard of a very pregnant cat in Dartmouth that needed help. One of volunteers trapping for the first time put out a trap and came back an hour later to find her in the trap already. They took her home and soon found out she was a very friendly girl. The next morning she gave birth to 7 kittens but one didn't make it. She was a wonderful mom and even adopted an orphan and now her job is done and she deserves a home of her own.

Holly is a very friendly young female tiger that loves attention and to be pet. She will be ready for her forever home mid May. If you are interested in adopting Holly, please call 508-994-0220 or e-mail cricket13@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a Acushnet Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
