Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ringo is a very sweet natured, curious, and active male terrier cross with lots of energy.
This handsome boy loves to cuddle but he can be timid around men and for that reason he needs a patient family who is willing to put some time into training him. His foster family reports, however, that within a week, Ringo warmed up to the men in their home and no longer demonstrates caution around them. What a resilient boy!
At first, Ringo can seem very quiet but once he feels comfortable and understands what an approaching person’s motives are his vivacious personality comes out.
Sadly, Ringo was mistreated in a previous home. As a result, he can be watchful/hesitant in a new environment and may cautiously retire to his crate where he feels safe/less stressed. Despite this, this handsome boy is very trusting and wants only to be loved. Once he knows you mean no harm, he is loyal and affectionate. If you approach him with kindness, he will be curled up next to you in no time.
Ringo does well on leash and would excel with an active, sporty family without small children. Because Ringo has a lot of energy, he would also do well with a family who already has a well-behaved dog.
Ringo has done exceptionally well with his foster mom's daily training; it is preferable that his adoptive family commit to creating a consistent routine for this boy as he needs structure to his days.
Can you provide the love and patience this boy needs? If so, please fill out our application at www.nobordersanimalrescuesociety.ca/adoption-form-2/
We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
