My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taylor is such a loving guy with both humans and other dogs that Farfel's Rescue was contacted by the shelter in Kansas...could we possibly find a special and committed home for this exceptional Spaniel mix? We're not entirely sure if that's truly his breed combo...could be...but what we are sure of is that this adorable and scruffy little guy is worthy of a wonderful forever home. Taylor quietly creeps into your heart...his behavior is so wonderful and no dog could want to please more. At about 12 - 18 months old and 12 lbs, Taylor is a blank slate just waiting for loving guidance and clear boundaries so he understands how to be a great adult companion. Taylor just naturally has a great temperament and the curiosity to learn how to please...he gets so excited when he feels he's done a good job! Taylor's Kansas foster mom had the following to say about this cutie-pie:
Taylor is so very sweet that I just want to hug him at all times! This truly beautiful guy (his photos in no way do his adorable face justice) loves attention and gets along well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes (my dogs really enjoy his fun spirit and friendly nature) Taylor loves to run and play - I think he'd be perfect to take on hikes on those gorgeous Colorado trails. It looks like Taylor is all Spaniel..with the adorable fluffiness of a Cavalier. Taylor has such great behavior and is quickly learning to be very respectful in the home. I really enjoy taking him out and about for socialization... he walks well on a leash (getting better by the day) and is pleasant and stress-free to take anywhere. Taylor would be a great family companion with gentle children and involved parents. I'd also be happy to see Taylor in a home with active retirees - he would blossom with the love and attention.
We're searching for a truly devoted home for Taylor with a family who wants to include a sweet and silly pup in their lives. He would respond so well to socialization...coming along to dog-friendly spots to interact with as many humans and dogs as possible...this will teach Taylor how fun and positive the world is. We would also like to see Taylor enrolled in group positive reinforcement training classes to bring out his great behavior and cement his bond with his family.
We've requested that Taylor be neutered prior to his transport to Colorado. This frequently doesn't occur in rural Kansas where there are very few vets and long waits for appointments. If Taylor isn't fixed, Farfel's will be happy to pay all charges associated with his neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Taylor will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 5/5/15. If interested in this snuggly and very devoted pup, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
