Hope's Story...
Hope is an extremely sweet and loving 7-year-old Border Collie who was given up because her guardian had to move to an apartment and was not allowed to bring her. She is clean in the house and has fit in quite nicely to her foster family's household routine. Unlike many Border Collies, Hope is very quiet. She likes to stay near her people all the time and would like to be the only pet in a quiet house with somebody at home all day. Hope has a slight handicap that sometimes makes her back legs a little wobbly but it does not stop her from doing anything she wants, including going up and down stairs. She has been x-rayed and vet-checked and is expected to live out a full life. If you are looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who is a true delight to have around, maybe Hope is the girl for you! UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER: Hope has turned out to be the most amazing foster yet. She is an extremely intelligent dog, which is typical of her breed. Hope loves playing ball and will retrieve it until we decide the game is over. This past week we introduced the frisbee. Much to our surprise and delight, she loves trying to catch it and instantly brings it back for us to throw again. Hope is always eager to go for a walk, and just never seems to tire. But Hope also has a quiet side to her. She loves cuddling next to me while I watch TV. When I tell her to show me how she sleeps, she puts her head on my chest and looks up at me with her big eyes. Hope is truly delightful to have around. She is a constant source of entertainment. Hope will make a wonderful pet for anyone who is looking for a fun-loving dog while at the same time enjoys a dog who loves to give and receive affection.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Kirkland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Kirkland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Kirkland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkland paves the way for another one to be saved.
